What are we doing with our lives?
or: Purpose creates happiness
Life can hurt us in many ways, we can feel confused and lonely, we can feel we are a failure, we can feel despair and many other painful feelings.
We are rarely taught how to deal with the painful feelings life brings us.
We have to realize it is not life but our reaction to life and the fear that is rooted in our self- protection that causes our pain.
It is possible to have a direct connection and understanding of our reactions. There is no path to follow, no guru who can do this for us.
We can wake up right now, and start investigating the ways in which we respond to situations.
We have the capacity to find it out ourselves; to find out who are we, what are we doing with our life, with our relationships, and with our work. We are the architects of our life.
We usually blame the outside world for our misery and our pain since we didn’t learn to stay with these feelings and to explore what we feel, without reacting immediately.
We can take responsibility over our pain by seeing it is nobody’s fault, there is no one to blame. And slowly we can shift from blaming to being responsible for our reactions.
When we live our purpose it feels powerful and it feels like the purpose itself pulls us forward and we almost have no choice but to follow this energy. That is why purpose creates happiness; when we do what we love we feel our purpose.
We don’t follow our purpose for nobody! We follow it because we wake up every morning and feel passionate about it and we want it more than anything else.
And if one day our purpose changes, hopefully we will be aware enough to change our life with it.
